About Us

The People of African Descent Stakeholder Group (PAD SG), established in 2025, is a global platform that unites organizations and individuals committed to promoting and protecting the rights of people of African descent. Guided by the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and other key UN frameworks, the PAD SG ensures visibility, representation, and meaningful participation of African descent communities in United Nations processes, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Pact for the Future, and other processes. Through advocacy, research, partnerships, and capacity building, it addresses systemic racism, inequality, and historical injustices, fostering inclusive and equitable sustainable development where no one is left behind.
